Home Instead Senior Care is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation, we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide.

We are seeking a Deputy Care Manager to work alongside our Care Manager and team of CAREGivers to maintain our high standards and deliver a brilliant experience to our clients ensuring excellent care is received every day.

This is a challenging and rewarding role. You will need to work collaboratively with the franchise owners, care manager, clients and staff to continuously improve our service. You will be expected to provide day to day management of internal staff, sharing responsibility for their workload, providing QA and support visits and building a successful team. You will also liaise with clients and their families to ensure a positive and responsive experience from initial enquiry and consultation through to service reviews and quality checks and audits.

In order to help manage and develop the care operations of our independently owned Home Instead Senior Care office we are looking for an individual who has the following:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Management experience of service provision in the care profession.
  • Is passionate about providing the highest quality of service.
  • A professional qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in leading a team to provide quality, home care services.
  • Excellent office skills.
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Skills in assessment and care planning
  • Experience in meeting regulatory requirements and recording evidence.
  • Good commercial awareness
  • A flexible, positive, approach to work.
  • Can adapt to change, embrace new ideas and cope with pressure.
  • Wants to work in a fast growing, fun and professional environment.

We need you to have

  • good understanding of Care Standards Regulations and CQC KLOEs
  • ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • availability to assist with 24hr on-call rota

Due to the need to support the On-Call function, which may require you to support team members out in the field in emergency situations, and also the requirement to travel throughout the community to conduct new client assessments, you should have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

We are offering an attractive salary, fantastic career development opportunities and the ability to make a real difference for the older people we work with. If you have a passion for caring and the motivation to help us achieve our ambitions, we would love to hear from you.

Home Instead Senior Care is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
