As a Care Manager with Home Instead your role is to maintain the Companys high standards and deliver a brilliant experience to our clients ensuring that excellent care is received every day. The Care Manager acts in the best interests of our clients by managing all aspects of the day to day operation of the office.  The Care Manager not only reports to the owner of the local Home Instead office but also to CQC (the Care Quality Commission), ensuring that the correct systems are in place to monitor quality and performance. Working alongside the franchise owner you will be instrumental in driving the business forward so will require excellent business acumen.


This is a challenging and rewarding role, Care Managers must work collaboratively with the franchise owner, clients and our CAREGivers to continuously improve our service. You have to provide day to day management of internal staff and take responsibility for their workload and build a successful team. Be accountable to the owner of the business, achieving targets and delivery within budgets.

Ensure successful operation of quality control systems, Implementation of complaints procedure. To participate in the growth and development of the business through various marketing exercises.


Person specification:-


  • Management experience of service provision in the care profession.
  • Minimum standard of level 5 QCF diploma in care and the Registered Manager’s Award or equivalent in order to satisfy regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commercial business awareness
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Skills in assessment and care planning
  • Negotiating skills
  • Ability to cope with pressure
  • Ability to cope with change and embrace new ideas and implement
  • Must have the ability to be a leader and coach good performance
  • Excellent communication skills



  • Must have clear DBS
  • Must have full driving license
  • Have a strong knowledge of the Care Standards regulations
  • To be able to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ensure 24 hour availability via an on call rota
